Whistleblower reporting channel

Welcome to the reporting channel page of Pirkanmaan kierrätys ja työtoiminta ry

Reporting channel for misconduct

You can report all serious matters concerning our organization anonymously and securely through our whistleblowing system.

The goal of the system is to bring out matters that would not otherwise come to light, and it complies with the EU Whistleblower Protection Directive. Through the channel we also take care of our part in the responsibility of our activities.

The European Union Whistleblowing Directive

In 2019 the European Union enacted the so-called Whistleblowing Directive (EU Directive 2019/1937, the so-called Whistleblower Protection Act), the purpose of which is to make it easier to expose misconduct in organizations. The aim of the directive's guidance is to protect people who expose such misconduct.

A report can be made about misconduct or suspected misconduct relating, for example, to public procurement, money laundering, environmental protection, food safety, animal welfare, the protection of privacy and personal data, the security of network and information systems, and other unethical or non-compliant activity.

Reports are taken up for processing within seven days of their submission at the latest, and they are resolved within a maximum of three months. A report can be made completely anonymously if desired. All reports are handled confidentially.

Purpose of the reporting channel

The reporting channel is intended for use by the reuse centers' employees, cooperation partners and subcontractors. A report can be made by anyone who has witnessed or become aware of misconduct in connection with work duties. This reporting channel is not intended for the use of private individuals shopping in the stores.
